Kostyantyn Yuriyovych Komisarov

Japanese language lecturer and translator/interpreter. Born 1 August 1979 in Kyiv. In 1996 finished the Oriental Languages Gymnasium #1 and entered the Oriental studies department at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

April 1997 – March 1998 – had been on a traineeship at Ryukoku University (Kyoto, Japan) as an international exchange student.
In June 2001 graduated with honours from the Oriental Studies department of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with a major “Oriental and European language”.

September 2001 – February 2002 – had been on a traineeship for Japanese language teachers at the International Center of Japanese language, Japan Foundation (Saitama, Japan). At the time passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test and received the highest level certificate.

During 2003-2006 worked at the Turkic languages department and later at the Chinese, Korean and Japanese languages department. In May 2006 defended the thesis “Semantic, syntactic and stylistic features of conditional sentences in modern Japanese language” at the Oriental Institute of the National Academy of Science, Kyiv and obtained an academic degree in Philology.

2000-2002 worked as an assistant at Turkic languages department. September 2002 – December 2007 was an assistant lecturer at the Chinese, Korean and Japanese languages department of the Institute of Philology, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. 12 December 2007 obtained the degree of as associate professor. Is a head of the Japanese section of the Chinese, Korean and Japanese languages department.

Conducts the normative courses of the Japanese grammar theory, Japanese stylistics, “Introduction to Linguistics”, “Japanese language etiquette”. Is an advisor for the yearly essays and thesises; takes part in the work of national examination and selection committee; develops methodological base for the controlling, checking the students’ knowledge; coordinates the methodological work of the Japanese language teachers at the Chinese, Korean and Japanese languages department. Is a senior secretary of The Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv Bulletin (Oriental languages and literatures Section). Started to write the Japanese language grammar theory book, which is thought to be published in three parts with a help of Mitsubishi Corporation Company.

Took part in a number of international symposiums for the Japanese language teachers (2000 in Budapest, the headquarter of Japan Foundation in Hungary; 19-21 May 2006 – Warsaw, The University of Warsaw).

Has a whole number of published works in core publications and methodological developments.

Scientific and teaching work apart, is also engaged in social work. 2002-2004 worked on social basis as a chairman. September 2005 – April 2006 worked on a social basis as a deputy chairman of Japanese Teachers Association in Kyiv.
