Education: 1975 – graduated from Kiev Taras Shevchenko National University, Interpreters’ Department; 1986 Kandidat Nauk (Institute of Literature, National Academy of Sciences in Ukraine); 1995 Doctor of Philology Degree (Kiev Taras Shevchenko National University); 1997 Professor of Comparative Studies, Literary Theory, Foreign Literature (Kiev National Linguistic University).
Interests: Comparative Study of American and Ukrainian Literatures; Polycritical Analysis of American Literature; Archetypal Analysis of American Literature; Narratology; Imagology.
