Olena Vasylivna Orlychenko

Born on April, 26, 1951, Pivdenno-Sahalinsk, Sahalinsk region, Russia. Candidate of philological sciences, associate professor. Graduated from Roman-Germanic sub-department of Kyiv National University in 1975.

Has been working at the University since 1975 till 1992, since 2000 – up to now:
a) 1975-1883 – lecturer at Spanish Language sub-department;
b) 1983-1992 – associate professor at Theory and Practice of Translation of Romanic and Oriental Languages;
c) Since 2000 – senior academic associate at Foreign Languages Department, as well as associate professor at Theory and Practice of Translation of Romanic Languages sub-department.
d) Since 2005-up till present – associate professor at Theory and Practice of Translation of Romanic Languages sub-department.

Main directions of academic and pedagogical activity: “The history of Spanish language” lecturing course, “Genre theories of translation” special course, “Modern information technologies”, “Juridical terminology”, “Computer lexicography and translation”, “Technical translation”, practical courses on Spanish and Portuguese at Western Languages Studies and Translation Department.
