Serhiy Hrygorovych Sayenko

Born on July, 23, 1955, Horlivka, Donetsk region. Candidate of philological sciences, associate professor. Official interpreter of Ukrainian parliamentary delegation at the European Council (since 1996). Graduated from Kyiv National Pedagogical University of Foreign Languages (KNPUFL) in 1976. Head of French Sub-department of KNPUFL (1988-1999). Since 1999 – associate professor at Theory and Practice of Translation of Romanic Languages at Kyiv National University named after Shevchenko. Defended thesis on Romanic languages at Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University in 1984. Scientific advisor of theses (1998, 2000, 2001 years) as for the French linguistics. Was an invitee professor of Oriental Studies and Civilizations University named after Pascal Blaise in Clemont-Ferrand, France in 1997. The author of over 50 publications; co-author of “Analysis and interpretation of text” textbook (in French) – Kyiv, 2000. Was awarded a Certificate for “Excellence in education of Ukraine” in 1996.
