Project Goals and Objectives
The GTSF project aims to design and implement innovative, research-based educational practices in higher education institutions. These practices integrate the Sustainable Development Goals (particularly SDG 4 – Quality Education) and promote the development of global competencies among both students and academic staff.
The main goal of the project is to prepare students to become conscious global citizens and agents of positive change, and to prepare teachers to effectively implement the principles of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and intercultural interaction into the educational process.
Key objectives:
- Equip students with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary for global citizenship and sustainable thinking
- Train educators to integrate the Sustainable Development Goals into curricula using ESD tools and virtual exchange methodologies (COIL/VE)
- Develop a system of micro-credentials and mechanisms for their recognition and certification
- Promote the internationalization of Ukrainian higher education through the development of “internationalization at home” as an inclusive and accessible approach
- Support the UN 2030 Agenda in the field of quality education through educational and research initiatives
