International cooperation with the embassies of the countries whose languages are studied at the Educational and Research Institute of Philology correlates with the dynamization of the development of education and science, which is represented in the signing of strategic professional cooperation agreements, the creation of special programs, the opening of language and cultural centers, laboratories.
The Department of Romance Philology closely cooperates with the French Embassy in Ukraine in accepting exams for the French DELF-DALF diplomas.
The Department of Romance Philology, together with the Embassy of Canada in Ukraine, organizes the International Literary Translation Contest, which has been held since 2006 for high school and university students.
In 2017, with the assistance of the Department of Romance Philology and the French Embassy and the University Agency of the Francophonie, a francophone platform was created for the annual exchange of educational and scientific information between francophones in Ukraine and foreign countries.
Since 1997, the celebration of the International Day of Francophonie has become a tradition, with international colloquia and roundtables with the participation of ambassadors and representatives of the diplomatic corps of French-speaking countries.
With the support of the Embassy of France in Ukraine and the French Cultural Center, the Institute regularly hosts meetings and conferences with prominent linguists, French writers and figures of French culture, as well as public figures.
With the support of the embassies of the Slavic countries, the Institute has established language and cultural centers for Slavic studies, Bulgarian language, literature, history and culture, and Croatian language and culture.
Since 2012, in cooperation with the Embassy of Egypt in Ukraine, the Institute has organized film lectures for Arab studies students, meetings with well-known representatives of cultural and academic circles of Arab countries, as well as prominent orientalists.
In cooperation with the Embassies of Greece and Cyprus, the Greek Language Center, and the Foundation for Greek Culture, the Institute of Oriental Studies implements a program of translations of New Greek literature. The works of famous Greek and Cypriot authors – Y. Seferis (2013), K. Kavafis (2017), R. Galanaki (2020), A. Georgiou (2020), K. Sotiriou (2021) – were published as separate books.
Meetings of students and teachers of the ER IPES with the staff of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ukraine have become traditional.
