The Educational and Research Institute of Philology actively maintains international contacts with scientific, educational, and cultural institutions, which is realized in effective forms of professional interaction – events dedicated to national holidays, honoring famous figures, language and culture weeks, etc.
The Center for Japanese Language and Literature, with the support of the Japan Foundation, annually organizes and holds the Sakura International Scientific and Practical Conference on Japanese Studies.
The Center for Hindi Language and Indian Literature organizes Indian holidays at the Institute, in particular Holi, the festival of spring and bright colors (in March), Diwali, the main Indian festival of lights (in October) and Baisakhi, the celebration of the New Year (in April).
The annual events dedicated to the birthday of the prominent Egyptian writer, Nobel Prize winner Naguib Mahfouz and the International Arabic Language Day have become traditional.
Every month, the Center for Iranian Studies also holds scientific and practical seminars dedicated to the Days of honoring prominent figures of Iran (classics of Persian literature A. Firdousi, O. Khayyam, D. Rumi, Saadi, Hafiz, etc.), celebrate significant dates in the life of the Iranian people (for example, the National Day of Iran), hold Weeks of the Persian language and culture of Iran, organize celebration of Iranian national holidays (“Nowruz”, “Shabe Yalda”).
Traditionally, on the occasion of the Day of the Korean Hangul script, the Institute of History and International Relations, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Ukraine and other organizations, holds various cultural and scientific events, such as a student competition of speeches in Korean, lectures, scientific conferences, cultural events, etc. aimed at maintaining cultural and professional contacts between the peoples.
