With the support of international educational and scientific centers, the Educational and Research Institute of Philology systematically publishes monographs, textbooks, manuals, organizes professional events, conferences, seminars, panel discussions, etc.
With the assistance of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, Japanese teachers have created a unique series of teaching materials on Japanese studies in Ukraine – 46 textbooks, manuals, and dictionaries. With the support of the Vietnamese Embassy, Ha Thi Van Anh and Associate Professor V. Musiychuk of the Department of Far Eastern and Southeast Asian Languages and Literatures created the first series of Vietnamese textbooks in Ukraine.
In the context of international cooperation with Beijing Linguistic University, a textbook and a collection of Chinese exercises (“New Practical Chinese Course”, third edition with comments in Ukrainian, translated by O. Honcharenko), as well as a Chinese-English-Ukrainian dictionary of trade, economic and stock exchange terms were published.
With the financial support of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, the Center for Japanese Language and Literature has been running two programs since 2008. The first program includes Japanese language courses for all citizens of Ukraine and courses to prepare philology students for the Noryoku Shiken qualification exam. The second program involves writing, editing and publishing scientific and educational literature in the field of Japanese studies.
The Center for Iranian Studies and the Department of Near and Middle Eastern Languages and Literatures are the founders and organizers of the annual International Conference on the History of Arabic Literature (ICHAL), which annually attracts orientalists from abroad and Ukraine.
Every year, the Center for Korean Language and Literature participates in the All-Ukrainian Korean Language Olympiad and the international qualification exam in Korean for foreigners TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean).
Together with the Institute of the Ukrainian Language of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Catholic University, the Center for Hellenistic Studies and Greek Culture founded the series “Ukrainian Hellenism”, which includes dictionaries, collective monographs and selected works by famous Ukrainian Hellenists.
The Department of English Translation Theory and Practice organized two international conferences: “Translation and Language: Comparative Studies (March 27-28, 2019) and Translation Industry: Theory in Action (December 11-12, 2020).
